  • Attach It Properly!

Please make sure you attach the carabiner to the harness ring correctly. Your dog's safety can depend on proper attachment.
If the carabiner is not secured the right way—especially if it does not have an auto-locking mechanism—it may come undone on its own due to its design. Taking a moment to double-check can help prevent accidents.

  • 🐶 Choose the Right Carabiner

The size of your dog determines the type of carabiner you should use. For smaller dogs (XS to SM+ on our harness chart), we recommend non-autolock carabiners — they’re lighter and more comfortable. Less weight means less strain on the harness or collar.
  • 📏 Pick the Proper Leash Width

The most versatile leash width is 20mm — strong yet lightweight, perfect for daily walks. If your dog is very small, consider a 15mm leash for extra comfort. For larger dogs (40kg+), a 25mm leash offers better control, especially if your dog tends to pull.
  • ⚖️ Match Size with Strength

Thinner, lighter leashes work best for small dogs, providing comfort without excess bulk. Bigger, stronger dogs need thicker, more durable leashes and hardware to ensure safety and control during walks. Always match leash and carabiner strength to your dog’s size and energy level.

  • NO AUTOLOCK

Breaking load of this lightweight carabiner is 400kg. Perfect for small and medium sized dogs.
  • AUTOLOCK

The breaking load is the same 400kg, but it is stronger and more durable for larger and/or more active dogs.

The main difference between carabiners with autolock is the presence of a pivoting mechanism in the design that completely blocks accidental opening.
  • QUIET CLASP

Zinc die casting clasp can withstand load up to 100kg it is more than enough for small or medium size dog.
To unlock this clasp you need to thread precisely through the pull-through clasp into the other fixed part with the hole.
This simple trick prevents from accidental disconnection.
  • 🔧 Carabiner Care Reminder

Even the simplest mechanisms need a little care to keep working properly. If you use your carabiners in all kinds of conditions — mud, sand, water, or on the beach — they can collect debris that affects how the mechanism moves.

Over time, sand or dirt can get into the moving parts, making the carabiner harder to open, close, or even causing it to stick.

To keep everything working smoothly, clean your carabiner from time to time and, if needed, apply a small amount of lubricant (like WD-40) to the moving parts. A quick spray is often enough to restore smooth, safe operation.

ADDITIONAL HANDLE

25mm wide leashes are usually for big dogs and the extra handle is at the very end. 20mm & 15mm wide leashes are for small dogs and the handle is 50cm further out - so you don't have to bend over to get the handle.
But it's all customizable - after all, each leash is made to order. Just let us know about any changes you would like to make in the comments section at the checkout.
